Customer -"You don't have a sign that says `Please take off your shoes` do you?
Me-I think so...here it is (showing her a sign that reads-Please remove shoes before entering the house)
Customer-I don't know-do you think that's rude?
Me-Not if you want them to remove their shoes...It says please.
Customer-I don't know-I was going to hang it inside, in the entry/mudroom. It says to take them off before you enter.
Me-I think they'd get the idea-it's not like the sign is meant for people to take off their shoes outside or on your porch, They'd take off their shoes before entering the main part of the house.
Customer-I don't know it seems a little rude. I've got to think about it-(leaves)
Ok so the sign didn't say exactly what she wanted, fine. But it was damn close (if only it had left off the words "before entering the house" or even "the house". OK, fine, don't buy the $16 sign-if ti's not what you watn don't buy it. But rude? RUDE? How is that in any way rude? kinda silly...whatever..
